Chet Quint

Chief Instructor Professor Chet Quint

Chet Quint is a martial artist with nearly 30 years of experience and holds black belt ranks in multiple systems with the major core of his study focusing on grappling and Jiu-Jitsu. His early martial art training began when he was 10 years old with wrestling and judo, and it was here that his fascination with Jiu-Jitsu began.

Professor Quint would go on to study several schools of Jiu-Jitsu schools both modern and ancient. Along with “Jiu-Jitsu” styles from Japan, Korea and China he also received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Pedro Sauer, a 7th degree black belt instructor certified by the world-renowned Grand Master Helio Gracie, after a decade of intensive training in the U.S. and Brazil. When living in Brazil, Professor Quint trained under Master Rilion Gracie, the youngest son of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu founder Carlos Gracie, Sr..and Master Rolker Gracie in Rio de Janeiro.

Professor Quint earned a black belt in Chinese Wrestling (called Shuai Jiao) and in 2001 won the national title is his division. His fascination with Shuai Jiao would eventually lead him to China where he continued his research of this ancient Chinese system and would go on to study additional systems of China’s grappling traditions (Chin Na Fa).

Professor Quint is a full instructor of Muay Thai and holds a 5th degree black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate, a shodan in Teakwondo and has extensive training in western boxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu, and Jun Fan Gung Fu.

As a Teacher, Professor Quint has taught, members of military and law enforcement agencies along with several professional MMA fighters in China, who have successfully used a combination of skills from Jiu-Jitsu, Shuai Jiao, and Muay Thai to win a number of competitions in China and abroad.

Professor Quint's career in police work, the private security sector, the military and over a decade as a bar bouncer have provided him with extensive practical fighting experience that have guided and help form his martial philosophies. It is this philosophy that has formed the method of Jiu-Jitsu that he has today become know for.

Like his teachers and their teachers before them, Professor Quint left his home to see the world and spread the art of Jiu-Jitsu in foreign lands. In 2005 he moved to Beijing, China to teach Jiu-Jitsu and founded Gracie Jiu-Jitsu China and co-founded Black Tiger Academy of Beijing; China's first professional and largest Jiu-Jitsu/Muay Thai Academy.

Jeff Olsen

Black Belt Instructor Jeff Olson

Jeff Olsen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah were he started training Gracie Jiu Jitsu under Pedro Sauer. He has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for nearly a decade and is a Black Belt. In that time he has had the privilege of learning from some of the most notable practitioners in Jiu-Jitsu; Masters such as Alvaro Barreto, Sylvio Behring, Relson Gracie, Royce Gracie and Royler Gracie to name a few.

In the time Jeff has spent on the mat he has developed a relaxed, technical style that is typical of a Pedro Sauer student. Like Professor Sauer, Jeff is known for his superlative guard. In 2006 Jeff relocated to Beijing to travel and help spread the art of Jiu Jitsu in the East.



Francis Wang

Purple Belt Trainer Francis Wang

Francis Wang received his purple belt from Professor Chet Quint in 2007 and is now a second strip purple belt trainer under the guidence of Professor Quint. Francis Wang is an IT professional with over 25 years of software design experience and 20 years of martial arts training. Francis started his martial arts training at the age of 13. He has trained over 10 years in Tae Kwon Do, two years in Muay Thai, one year in Jeet Kune Do. Francis started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in 1996 under Renzo Gracie and has been tranning in the art for over 7 years.
